Fancy Steps

This one has taken me a long time to complete.

Each stage presented it's challenges and I needed to spend a lot of time looking in order to understand what the painting needed. Initially there was too much distraction in the background, and while there were interesting passages, the calmer scene provides a better balance allowing the focus to return to the figure.
